What is the Phone Number Format in Mexico?

Most phone numbers in Mexico are written in the following formats:

   Prefix: long distance or international
   --------------------------------------

       AA  SSSS SSSS    - Local format
  +52  AA  SSSS SSSS    - International format

Most telephone numbers in Mexico have 10 digits and are written in the format of "AA SSSS SSSS". Here are some examples: 55 2482 2400; 55 8526 2561.

When dialing locally inside Mexico, dial the phone number directly as "AA SSSS SSSS". Long distance prefix is not needed.

When dialing from outside of Mexico, the international dial-in prefix "+52" is required. So the format becomes "+52 AA SSSS SSSS".

When dialing from Mexico to other countries, the international dail-out prefix "+" or "00" required.
