What is the Phone Number Format in Iceland?

Most phone numbers in Iceland are written in the following formats:

   Prefix: long distance or international

Most telephone numbers in Iceland have 7 digits and are written in the format of "AAA SSSS". Here are some examples: 497 8000; 569 3300.

When dialing locally inside Iceland, dial the phone number directly as "AAA SSSS". Long distance prefix is not needed.

When dialing from outside of Iceland, the international dial-in prefix "+354" is required. So the format becomes "+354 AAA SSSS".

When dialing from Iceland to other countries, the international dail-out prefix "+" or "00" required.
