What is the Phone Number Format in Malawi?

Most phone numbers in Malawi are written in the following formats:

Most telephone numbers in Malawi have 7, 9 digits and are written in the format of "A SSS SSS", "AAA SSS SSS". Here are some examples: 1 700 811; 1 773 342; 999 721 397; 992 244 244.

When dialing locally inside Malawi, the long distance prefix of "0" is required. So the format becomes "0 A SSS SSS", "0 AAA SSS SSS".

When dialing from outside of Malawi, the international dial-in prefix "+265" is required. So the format becomes "+265 A SSS SSS", "+265 AAA SSS SSS".

When dialing from Malawi to other countries, the international dail-out prefix "+" or "00" required.
