Install Trusted CA Certificate on SM-T210R

Q

How to download and install trusted CA certificates on Samsung Galaxy SM-T210R Tablet?

✍: FYIcenter.com

A

Samsung Galaxy SM-T210R Tablet came with a list of trusted CA certificates when it was released in 2013. But it does not contain many new CA certificates published since 2013.

If you are visiting a Website that uses a new CA certificate, your browser may give a warning or error message. For example, if you visit yahoo.com with "Chrome", you may get the "Your connection is not private" warning message.

To resolve the issue, you need to download and install the CA certificate used by yahoo.com as shown below:

1. On your computer (Mac or Windows), go to yahoo.com.

2. Click the security lock icon next to the web address box. to access the certificate chain.

3. Open the root CA (the top or the last) certificate in the certificate chain. For example, yahoo.com uses "DigiCert Global Root G2" as the root CA certificate in 2026.

4. Download the CA certificate in PEM format: DigiCert-Global-Root-G2.pem.

5. Transfer the certificate file DigiCert-Global-Root-G2.pem to the your Tablet.

6. On your Tablet, go to Settings > Security.

7. Tap on "Install from device storage" and select DigiCert-Global-Root-G2.pem to finish the installation.

8. Open the Web browser again. You should have no issue visiting the Website.
