Most phone numbers in Chad are written in the following formats:

   Prefix: long distance or international

Most telephone numbers in Chad have 8 digits and are written in the format of "AA SS SS SS". Here are some examples: 22 52 54 14; 66 28 45 18.

When dialing locally inside Chad, dial the phone number directly as "AA SS SS SS". Long distance prefix is not needed.

When dialing from outside of Chad, the international dial-in prefix "+235" is required. So the format becomes "+235 AA SS SS SS".

When dialing from Chad to other countries, the international dail-out prefix "+" or "00" required.
