What is the Phone Number Format in Portugal?

Most phone numbers in Portugal are written in the following formats:

Most telephone numbers in Portugal have 9, 9 digits and are written in the format of "AA SSS SSSS", "AAA SSS SSS". Here are some examples: 21 841 5565; 93 725 8347; 289 800 617; 218 413 700.

When dialing locally inside Portugal, the long distance prefix of "0" is required. So the format becomes "0 AA SSS SSSS", "0 AAA SSS SSS".

When dialing from outside of Portugal, the international dial-in prefix "+351" is required. So the format becomes "+351 AA SSS SSSS", "+351 AAA SSS SSS".

When dialing from Portugal to other countries, the international dail-out prefix "+" or "00" required.
