Most phone numbers in Chile are written in the following formats:

Most telephone numbers in Chile have 9 digits and are written in the format of "A SSSS SSSS". Here are some examples: 2 2690 1752; 2 2731 8337.

When dialing locally inside Chile, dial the phone number directly as "A SSSS SSSS". Long distance prefix is not needed.

When dialing from outside of Chile, the international dial-in prefix "+56" is required. So the format becomes "+56 A SSSS SSSS".

When dialing from Chile to other countries, the international dail-out prefix "+" or "1xx" required.
