Most phone numbers in Poland are written in the following formats:

   Prefix: long distance or international
   --------------------------------------
   | Carrier or area code
   | --------------------
   | | Subscriber number
   | | -----------------
   v v v
AA SSS SS SS - Local format
+48 AA SSS SS SS - International format

Most telephone numbers in Poland have 9 digits and are written in the format of "AA SSS SS SS". Here are some examples: 22 650 42 20; 91 418 28 64.

When dialing locally inside Poland, dial the phone number directly as "AA SSS SS SS". Long distance prefix is not needed.

When dialing from outside of Poland, the international dial-in prefix "+48" is required. So the format becomes "+48 AA SSS SS SS".

When dialing from Poland to other countries, the international dail-out prefix "+" or "00" required.
