Looking to change the name of your iPhone to something more original than "iPhone"? There are two ways to change the name of your iPhone. You can change the iPhone name without a computer, or by using iTunes. Here are instructions for each:
- On the iPhone, navigate to Settings -> General -> About -> Name. Enter the new name in the Name field. Tap the Done button.
- On your computer, open iTunes and connect the iPhone via USB. Your iPhone will appear in the left menu under DEVICES. The name can be changed from this menu by clicking the existing name, the same way you change the name of a playlist. Your new iPhone name will automatically appear on the iPhone without syncing in iTunes.
