What is the Phone Number Format in Syria?

Most phone numbers in Syria are written in the following formats:

   Prefix: long distance or international

  +963 AA  SSS SSSS     - International format

Most telephone numbers in Syria have 9 digits and are written in the format of "AA SSS SSSS". Here are some examples: 11 238 6790; 11 168 2355.

When dialing locally inside Syria, the long distance prefix of "0" is required. So the format becomes "0 AA SSS SSSS".

When dialing from outside of Syria, the international dial-in prefix "+963" is required. So the format becomes "+963 AA SSS SSSS".

When dialing from Syria to other countries, the international dail-out prefix "+" or "00" required.
