You can use Speech to call or text a contact, or take a note with OneNote Mobile, even when your phone is locked. To set this up, in Settings Settings icon > Speech, make sure Use Speech when the phone is locked is selected. When you press the Power button to turn on your locked phone, you can press and hold the Start Start button button to bring up Speech, and then speak a command.
