IMEISV stands for International Mobile Equipment Identity Software Version. IMEISV is the same as MEID with 2 extra digits added to represent the software version number of the phone.

The format of an IMEISV number is AA-BBBBBB-CCCCCC-EE, where:

  • "AA" is the Reporting Body Identifier of the Type Allocation Code (TAC).
  • "BBBBBB" is the actual allocation code of the Type Allocation Code (TAC), issued by GSMA (Groupe Speciale Mobile Association).
  • "CCCCCC" is a serial number that identifies this specific phone set.
  • "EE" is Version Number of software embedded in the phone.
