Most phone numbers in Indonesia are written in the following formats:
Prefix: long distance or international -------------------------------------- | Carrier or area code | -------------------- | | Subscriber number | | ----------------- v v v 0 AA SSS SS SSSS - Local format +62 AA SSS SS SSSS - International format
Most telephone numbers in Indonesia have 11 digits and are written in the format of "AA SSS SS SSSS". Here are some examples: 87 753 71 7209; 82 132 21 6847.
When dialing locally inside Indonesia, the long distance prefix of "0" is required. So the format becomes "0 AA SSS SS SSSS".
When dialing from outside of Indonesia, the international dial-in prefix "+62" is required. So the format becomes "+62 AA SSS SS SSSS".
When dialing from Indonesia to other countries, the international dail-out prefix "+" or "00" required.
