Most phone numbers in Senegal are written in the following formats:

Most telephone numbers in Senegal have 9 digits and are written in the format of "AA SSS SS SS". Here are some examples: 76 345 97 28; 33 865 40 20.

When dialing locally inside Senegal, dial the phone number directly as "AA SSS SS SS". Long distance prefix is not needed.

When dialing from outside of Senegal, the international dial-in prefix "+221" is required. So the format becomes "+221 AA SSS SS SS".

When dialing from Senegal to other countries, the international dail-out prefix "+" or "00" required.
