Windows Phone 8 Basics - To redeem a gift card
✍: Guest
You can redeem a Windows Store gift card or promotional gift card right on your Windows Phone 8—then use it to buy apps, games, and more from the Windows Phone Store, Windows Store, and select Xbox stores. You'll need a Microsoft account to get started. If you don't have one, see Sign in with a Microsoft account to learn how to create one.
In the App list, tap Wallet Wallet Tile.
On the All pane, tap Add Add icon.
Tap Microsoft gift card.
Enter the 25-character code. (On physical gift cards, scratch off the label on the back of the card to find the code.) If you haven't entered it before, enter the billing info requested for your Microsoft account. Tap Next.
In the App list, tap Store Store Tile to start shopping in the Windows Phone Store.
The gift card amount is added to your Microsoft account, so you can also use it later at the Windows Phone Store, Windows Store, and select Xbox stores.
