GLONASS (Global Navigation Satellite System) is a space-based satellite navigation system operated by the Russian Aerospace Defence Forces.

Currently GLONASS uses 24 satellites and covers 100% of worldwide territory. Precisions of GLONASS navigation definitions (for p=0.95) for latitude and longitude were 4.46'7.38 m with mean number of navigation space vehicles (NSV) equals 7'8 (depending on station).
