Most phone numbers in India are written in the following formats:

Most telephone numbers in India have 10 digits and are written in the format of "AA SSSS SSSS". Here are some examples: 11 2462 4074; 11 4719 7001.

When dialing locally inside India, the long distance prefix of "0" is required. So the format becomes "0 AA SSSS SSSS".

When dialing from outside of India, the international dial-in prefix "+91" is required. So the format becomes "+91 AA SSSS SSSS".

When dialing from India to other countries, the international dail-out prefix "+" or "00" required.
