Most phone numbers in South Korea are written in the following formats:

Most telephone numbers in South Korea have 9 digits and are written in the format of "AA-SSS-SSSS". Here are some examples: 32-743-3042; 32-744-3571.

When dialing locally inside South Korea, the long distance prefix of "0" is required. So the format becomes "0 AA-SSS-SSSS".

When dialing from outside of South Korea, the international dial-in prefix "+82" is required. So the format becomes "+82 AA-SSS-SSSS".

When dialing from South Korea to other countries, the international dail-out prefix "+" or "00x" required.
