Most telephone numbers in Nigeria have 8, 10 digits and are written in the format of "A SSS SSSS", "AAA SSS SSSS". Here are some examples: 1 493 3385; 9 870 5477; 810 997 0533; 803 313 8999.

When dialing locally inside Nigeria, the long distance prefix of "0" is required. So the format becomes "0 A SSS SSSS", "0 AAA SSS SSSS".
