Most phone numbers in Malaysia are written in the following formats:

Most telephone numbers in Malaysia have 9 digits and are written in the format of "A SSSS SSSS". Here are some examples: 3 8777 8888; 9 6673 6665.
When dialing locally inside Malaysia, the long distance prefix of "0" is required. So the format becomes "0 A SSSS SSSS".
When dialing from outside of Malaysia, the international dial-in prefix "+60" is required. So the format becomes "+60 A SSSS SSSS".
When dialing from Malaysia to other countries, the international dail-out prefix "+" or "00" required.
