A trusted Apple device is Apple iPhone, iPad, iPod or Mac computer
that you've signed in to using two-factor authentication.
A trusted Apple device is considered by Apple as yours
that can be used to verify your identity by displaying a verification code.
A trusted phone number is a number stored in your Apple ID account and verified by Apple that can be used to receive verification codes by text or phone call. You must have at least one trusted phone number to enroll in two-factor authentication.
You should also consider setup more than one trusted phone numbers, just in case you temporarily can't access your primary trusted phone number.
